Dear Laurence,
Our department could not have been showcased more beautifully than with the play(s) last evening.  I left the James West Center afterwards and strolled through this lovely campus filled with such admiration.  What a clever mise en scène!  Wish you could all take it on the road!

Dear All,
Please join me in congratulating Laurence Denié for the fabulous performance(s) last night. Over 250 people filled the James West Alumni Center to see our undergraduate students at their very best! Laurence has worked tirelessley on this project since January and we cannot thank her enough for making us all so very proud.

Laurence – it was truly fabulous last night. The best yet! I loved what you did with the cafe and the clever explanations in English. That was a stroke of brilliance !! Plus the translations were a great idea. The acting was so much fun – and the giddy, hair twirling Cathos stole the show for me. I was amazed at how well the Fables came off. It was a wonderful event. I’m so delighted you did this. (Sara Melzer)

I hope that everyone still at UCLA next year will be part of the play. We will have a real theater. This is the commitment of the French department. And thanks to Marcie we also have a connection with the music department. Again thank you very much. It was a lot of fun!
